Description
Baby and children’s cardigan knitting pattern with three variations: a shawl collar, V-neck, and frilled edges. Features textured stitches and cable detail, long sleeves and button fastening.
Pattern details

Sizes: 0–3 months, 3–6 months, 6–12 months, 1–2 years, 3–4 years and 5–6 years.

To fit chest: 41, 46, 51, 56, 61 and 66 cm / 16–26 inches.

Yarn: Double knitting (DK). Originally designed for Sirdar Denim Tweed DK; also lists Snuggly DK, Snuggly Chatterbox DK and Snuggly Pearls DK.

Shawl collar or frilled-edge cardigan: 3, 3, 3, 4, 4 and 5 × 50g balls, in size order.

V-neck cardigan: 2, 3, 3, 3, 4 and 4 × 50g balls.

Needles: 3.25mm and 4mm knitting needles; 3.25mm 80cm circular needle if required for edging.

Extras: Cable needle and 3–5 buttons, depending on size.

Tension: 28 stitches and 28 rows to 10cm over the side/sleeve pattern; 24 stitches to 10cm over the centre pattern, using 4mm needles.
