Yarn: 4-ply. The original yarn options specify 3, 3, 4, 4, 5 and 5 × 50 g balls, or 2 × 100 g balls for every size. Requirements depend on the yarn chosen.
Crochet hooks: 2.5 mm and 3 mm.
Tension: 23 stitches and 11 rows to 10 cm over pattern using a 3 mm hook.
