Pattern details

Sizes: To fit chest 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28 and 30 inches (41–76 cm).

Yarn: Aran weight.

Needles: 4 mm and 5 mm, plus a cable needle. The striped sweater also uses 5.5 mm needles in its instructions.

Basket-stitch sweater: 2–5 × 100 g balls, depending on size.

Striped sweater or cardigan: 2–5 × 100 g balls in the main colour, plus 1 × 100 g ball in contrast.

Hat: 1–2 × 100 g balls.

Buttons: Optional 3–4 for sweaters; 5–7 for cardigan.
